Eleven people aboard a Delta flight were injured when the plane experienced “severe turbulence” before landing in Atlanta Tuesday night.
Those injured included passengers and crew aboard Delta Flight 175 from Milan, the airline told WANF in a statement.
They were taken to the hospital upon landing at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and their injuries were not considered life-threatening, a spokesperson told the outlet.

The plane, which was carrying 151 passengers and 14 crew, arrived in Atlanta as bad weather hit the area, the report said.
“Our priority is taking care of our injured customers and crew,” Delta said in a statement.
“We thank the first responders who found the plane to provide medical treatment and who transported the injured to [the] hospital.”
