Two people were seriously injured after an electrical fire broke out in a high-rise building in Atlanta that houses the office of a Democratic senator Saturday afternoon.

Atlanta police were called to 271 17th St. in the Atlantic Station neighborhood following reports of a possible explosion in the building where Senator Jon Ossoff’s office is located along with a law firm and residence.

The senator has not spoken publicly about the incident.

An electrical contractor working on the 15th floor suffered a “severe electric shock” and two people were hospitalized, fire officials told 11 Alive.
