An Israeli hostage kidnapped by Hamas on October 7 from the Supernova music festival has been confirmed dead.
Inbar Haiman, described as a “creative girl full of joy,” was killed sometime after she was abducted from a party in the desert, the Hostage and Missing Families Forum said on Friday.
Haiman’s cause of death was not confirmed by the Forum. His body is still believed to be in the Gaza Strip, the Times of Israel added.
Haiman, 27, is a visual communication student from Haifa, in northern Israel, the Forum said.
She was remembered as a “talented girl” and a “creative girl full of joy,” the Forum’s announcement read.
Haiman is survived by his parents, brother, and his partner, Noam Alon, the Times of Israel said.
He was volunteering at the festival when Hamas attacked in the early hours of the morning, the outlet reported.

He sends a message to Alon, who tells him to avoid the road where armed terrorists kill revelers as they try to escape.
The young woman’s boyfriend and family eventually lost contact with her, and shared descriptions of her tattoos and clothing on social media in a desperate bid for information.
Two witnesses eventually told panicked loved ones that they saw Haiman – whom they recognized by his distinctive leggings – hiding under the stage with friends, before running for cover under a bush, the Times of Israel explained.

A pair of knife-wielding terrorists eventually pulled the 27-year-old away and drove off with him on a motorcycle.
Haiman’s family was later shocked by a video posted by Hamas on Telegram, which appeared to show him bleeding and beaten while surrounded by four men.

“The video came as a relief. The other option – that he’s dead – is far worse. Knowing that he is now a hostage in Gaza is not easy – it’s something you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy – but it’s better than the alternative,” Noam Alon told The Guardian of the heartbreaking footage in late October.
One of Alon’s relatives also paid tribute to Haiman in a tearful Facebook post after his death was confirmed Saturday.

“The heart can no longer withstand the pain, the tremor between despair and hope. Inbar is no longer with us. Inbar will not return alive,” wrote Nirit Lavie Alon.
News of Haiman’s death comes a day after the Israel Defense Forces claimed to have found the bodies of two soldiers and a civilian who were also held hostage by Hamas, according to the Times of Israel.

On Saturday, the IDF confirmed that three male hostages had been accidentally shot and killed by its troops. The Israel Defense Forces also confirmed the deaths of 21 hostages held by Hamas – a number that only increased the anxiety of families still waiting for news of their loved ones.
“We are playing Russian roulette,” Ruby Chen, whose son Itay is among the 128 people still held hostage, told the Times of Israel outside the Defense Ministry in Tel Aviv.
“We can’t continue like this anymore. Every day we don’t know when we will get a knock on the door,” lamented Chen.
