50 Cent Denies Using Ozempic To Achieve His 40-Pound Weight Loss: ‘I Was Running!’

Rapper 50 Cent clarified in a post on social media that his recent weight loss of 40 pounds came from rigorous exercise, not Ozempic.

Earlier, a picture of her slimmer self sparked a range of reactions, with some jokingly commenting on her change. Two years earlier, he faced criticism for gaining weight after his Super Bowl performance.

Responding on Instagram, 50 Cent found the teasing funny, insisting that he is not ashamed of his weight.

In a recent Instagram Stories post, 50 Cent addressed rumors about his significant weight loss, explaining that his 40-pound weight loss was due to intense gym workouts, not Ozempic use.

Sitting in a vehicle wearing a Los Angeles Dodgers hat, the “Candy Shop” rapper responded to the speculation while addressing his 30.8 million followers. He said: “You want to talk about losing weight? I’m in the gym; I’m working on it, man.”

He added: “They will say it is Ozempic; I run, I run, I do what I have to do, you’ve seen me on tour, I run around.”

Highlighting his physical efforts and weight loss from 253 to 210 pounds, the 48-year-old added, “I was 253 pounds then, I’ve lost it, I’m 210 now – tell me how you feel about it; you tell me how you feel later.”

Social Media Reacts To Rapper’s New Pics

50 Cent’s Instagram Story post comes after he received a barrage of backlash for an earlier post in which he shared a photo of himself looking slimmer and wearing a blazer, jeans and white sneakers. In the caption of the post, he wrote: “GreenLightGang 2024. I’m going to change things. Time to get to work, let’s get to it!”

In the comments section, users responded with a hilarious caption: “N—- it’s only a quarter now.”

A second person defended the rapper, saying: “This is a perfect example of a man who wants to be healthy. It is not appreciated. People are very judgmental.”

A third stated: “What’s crazy is everyone is saying after Chad Bostwick’s death, y’all will respect people more [because you] never know what they are dealing with and why they lost weight, but here you all in these comments are talking so crazy, and again you don’t know what 50 is going on.”

“Ozempic takes another one, but I like Teddy Bear 50,” added a fourth.

However, according to the source who spoke Page Six, 50 Cent’s weight loss is not linked to Ozempic use. Instead, insiders claim it resulted from an intensive eight-month training regimen that involved “three hours a day,” gym sessions “every day.”

The insider added that the rapper, who is gearing up for his “Final Round” tour that kicks off in July, is dedicated to his fitness journey during this period.

50 Cent Slams Fat Shaming Trolls

About two years ago, 50 Cent faced social media ridicule for his weight gain during the Super Bowl LVI halftime show on February 13, 2022, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

As part of a star-studded rap lineup, including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent performed a segment suspended upside down, reminiscent of his 2003 “In Da Club” music video.

However, trolls took to social media with comments about his appearance, with one writing: “50 Cent got fat, now he’s a dollar.” Another added that the Grammy-winning rapper is “out here looking like a fat BAT.”

However, the business mogul hit back at the trolls and responded on Instagram, insisting that she found the “teasing” funny. He explained, per Daily Mail: “I call this teasing me, They only tease me because they know I can lose weight. That’s why I laugh with them. Fat shaming only applies when you are ashamed of your fat. LOL.”

Ahead of his recent “Final Lap Tour,” 50 Cent has expressed his commitment to improving his fitness.

During an Instagram Live session last May, the rapper shared his workout plan and emphasized the need to get in shape.

“We will do tours and so on, right? So I went back to exercising like that.” He said, per HipHopdx. “I always exercise, but it’s different when I have to start running and all that—. Actually, I’m a gamer [on] Live every day. Yes, I do five miles in front of them every day.”

50 Cent added: “You’ll see me come back down. I would have lost at least 25 pounds before this [the tour]. I’ll be back in dog form before I go. I’ll start talking crazy s— when I’m back to health. That’s why I want to fight and s— like that, down there.”
