Suddenly the television showed “Breaking News,” prompting a video of his son to appear. In the video, Marquise blasts her father for giving her $6,700 in child support, which she says is insufficient. 50 Cent turned off the television when he saw the young musician and said:
“This ni**a is crazy, 25 years old; why are you still talking about child support?”
Afterwards, he leaves the bathtub but continues to complain about the Marquise and child support when his doorbell rings. Glancing at the monitoring screen to check who was at her door, she confirmed they were friends before opening the door to reveal three men.
One of the guys closest to the door is asking the rapper for $6,700 a month as a jab at Marquise. This caused the group and 50 Cent to express their amusement. The video then continues with the “Power” star performing a mashup at a concert, presumably in Germany, and taking some photos with fans.
Speaking of the Marquise video that caused 50 Cent to slam him, it stems from an interview between the young man and former rapper Choke No Joke, which was posted on Instagram on October 5. In the live clip, the guest star talks about the $6,700 she receives in child support from her father, which she maintains is not enough to sustain her lifestyle in New York.
He noted, “$6,700 a month in the state of New York City, you can count it.” Choke can relate about child support because he said he did the math and has been in jail for child support payments. The Marquise then said:
“You talk about the Forbes list; you are talking about someone who has problems with everyone; you can’t just live in any neighborhood.”
He added, “$81,000 is not a lot of money. You can’t stay anywhere. You talk about you’ve got beef with everyone in the industry; you can’t stay anywhere.”
The interview host responded by telling his guest that if 50 Cent gave $6,700 in child support, then his mother, Shaniqua Tompkins, must have the other half. Marquise doesn’t have that discussion as she continues to argue and even asks Choke if she can use the $6,700 to rebuild her life. To his surprise, the entrepreneur said, “Yes.”
Marquise Offers To Return Child Support To Spend Time With Dad
After Marquise didn’t appreciate her father’s $6,700 in child support payments, she took to Instagram to offer the money back to 50 Cent with a message indicating that she wanted to spend time with him.
The Blast reported that the post featured a photo of the October-born sitting on a wooden floor with a small amount of money with ‘TITLE’ written next to it. At the same time, the caption reads:
