81-Year-Old Martha Stewart Sizzles In Plunging One-Piece For Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2023

Stewart has set the record for being the oldest woman to appear on the cover of the 2023 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. She shares the honor with three other TV personalities – Megan Fox, Kim Petras, and Brooks Nader.

For the cover photo, Stewart dons a variety of outfits that show she still has the beauty essentials despite her advanced age.

In one shot, she wore a cleavage-baring white one-piece and paired the outfit with a cover-up dress that came in brown. She was also seen wearing a red one-piece with a plunging neckline that showed her body was still in perfect shape.

The third image was taken on the beach with the businesswoman wearing a tan, ruffled bikini with a large straw hat and the fourth with the TV personality at sea wearing a silver bathing suit, zip-up and large white sunglasses.

Martha Stewart Describes Her Cover Appearance as a ‘Historic’ Moment

Speaking about becoming the oldest person to star on a magazine cover, Stewart shared that it was a “historic moment,” though she admitted that she “doesn’t think too much about age.”

“When I heard that I was going to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, I thought, ‘Oh, that’s pretty cool, I’m going to be the oldest person, I think, ever to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated,’ ” the TV personality recalled .

He states that character and behavior rather than age are “the determining factors in terms of friendship or success.” She also revealed that the cover shoot was a “challenge” she overcame.

“To me, it’s a testament to the good life,” Stewart said. “I think we should all think about a good life, a successful life, and not aging. The whole aging thing is so boring.”

How She Prepared For The Cover Shoot

Regarding the work she put in to make the shoot a success, Stewart revealed she did a lot of exercise and changed her diet but didn’t fast.

“I’m not starving, but I haven’t eaten bread or pasta in months. I go to Pilates every day,” she shared. “I live a clean life anyway. A good diet, exercise, healthy skin care, and all those things.”

Although she described the whole preparation as “fun,” Stewart admitted that it felt “weird,” posing in her swimsuit in front of “all those people” before saying that it “worked out” in the end.

She later expressed a desire for her cover appearance to “inspire” others, suggesting that she wants people to believe that age is no barrier to making progress in one’s life.

Recently, Stewart revealed in an interview with InStyle that it is “awesome” that she continues to garner attention for her outstanding looks despite her advanced age.

“It’s a good example for other people, actually,” said Stewart, per Fox News. “I’m a teacher. I try to teach others that you can look great. There’s no reason to degrade.”

The book’s author also says she’s getting ready to show off her toned legs this summer after doing a full year of Pilates workouts.

“I like baggy shorts, so I’ve put together a little collection of shorts,” says Stewart, “I’ve been working on my legs in Pilates, and I’m going to show them off this summer.”
