An 86-year-old Florida man was run over by a truck his son was driving multiple times Saturday night and died at a hospital, officials said.
Shortly after 8:30pm Saturday, deputies responded to R Bar, in Treasure Island, Florida and found a black 2019 Dodge Ram backed into a parking spot in the parking lot.
Investigators said 86-year-old Thomas McKeown walked toward the truck and appeared to fall in front of the truck.
According to investigators, the truck began moving and struck McKeown, dragging him, and backed up and forward several times, hitting the 86-year-old man each time before fleeing the scene.
After further investigation, deputies said that Thomas McKeown’s son, 61-year-old Mark McKeown, was driving the truck.
Officials say Mark McKeown has been arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death.
Thomas McKeown was taken to a local hospital and later died from his injuries, according to deputies.

According to investigators, Thomas was seen slumped in front of a truck outside R Bar. Google Maps
Authorities said the driver may have been impaired at the time of the crash and the investigation is ongoing.
Fox News Digital reached out to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, which was not immediately available to comment on the case.
