“Dancing with the Stars” alum Sharna Burgess was baffled by a celebrity cast on the competition show’s 32nd season.
During the latest episode of the “Old-ish” podcast, she called out a contestant and why she shouldn’t be on “Dancing with the Stars.”
“There’s one person I want to share that I’m really surprised by is Adrian Peterson, the football player…” Burgess shared on his platform.
“The man has been charged with child abuse against his four-year-old son with the way he punished him and it saddens me deeply.”
In 2018, the former Vikings player said in an interview with Bleacher Report that he still uses the belt to discipline his son, despite serving a one-year NFL suspension for child abuse.

“I had to discipline my son and hit him the other day with a belt,” Peterson reportedly said.
Peterson, 38, was charged with felony child abuse in 2014 for allegedly hitting his four-year-old son with a switch.
The boy received cuts and bruises all over his body, according to reports.

Meanwhile, “Dancing with the Stars” pros continue to express disappointment in Peterson’s performance.
“I’m telling you right now if I walk into a room and it’s my partner, I’m going to turn around and walk out. There’s no way – now that I’m a mother – I’ll be able to handle it.”

Last February, Peterson was arrested after airport police said they responded to an alleged domestic violence incident on a flight to Houston.
Police said the plane was pulled out of the gate but had to turn back because of an alleged verbal and physical altercation between Peterson and his wife, Ashley Peterson.
Last May, the couple announced that they welcomed their third child together.

Peterson is scheduled to dance with “Dancing with the Stars” pro Britt Stewart.
After the pair were tasked with dancing with each other, Stewart’s Instagram account was flooded with negative comments as fans disapproved of the partnership.
