A new hot spot has emerged in the Middle East and Hollywood’s elite are using it as a secret oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the Entertainment business.
The iconic Bab Al Shams Desert Resort is located in the sand dunes on the outskirts of Dubai and is set to open in February 2023. As we’ve reported, Hollywood’s heavy hitters are flocking to the overseas locale dubbed the “next Hollywood.”
The resort blends seamlessly into the surroundings with 115 luxurious rooms and suites housed in 16 two-story buildings. Of course, you can relax with the standard 5-star facilities expected of a high-end resort, but you can also take part in local activities such as camel riding!

Several A-list stars have appeared in the area including Beyonce, Justin Bieber and JLo, and the resort’s guests can partake in “dining theater, holistic health treatments and therapies, and nomadic desert adventures.”
“The reimagined Bab Al Shams is a legacy project that we are proud of and passionate about delivering,” Gilles Soheir, General Manager of Bab Al Shams, told The Blast. Adding, “The team and I are very excited to bring forward the essence and story of this sanctuary to bring an authentic Bedouin experience.”

Many famous guests choose the ‘Mystique of Arabia’ package, offering authentic experience trips such as guided nature walks among the dunes to camel rides and discovering the ancient sports of falconry and archery.
As for the food, let’s be honest everyone cares about the food, including a restaurant called Zala, meaning ‘canopy’, which resembles a “contemporary Ottoman and Greek-inspired eatery with a theatrical kitchen and lively atmosphere.” The resort is also home to Ya Hala, a cigar hideaway and speakeasy-style lounge.

The biggest stars require a different level of entertainment, so this resort even offers this resort offers a sunrise experience floating above the desert with breakfast “in a private hot air balloon.” Now, that’s VIP status!
As we’ve reported, many of the biggest celebrities flock to this part of the world for real estate opportunities and luxury vacations. Beyoncé also held a private concert at the opening of the Atlantis The Royal Hotel in the crescent of Palm Jumeirah. He was reportedly paid $24 MILLION to perform and host the event.
