Aayushmaan Srivastava was born in Mumbai. He attended Jamnabai Narsee School, Mumbai. He followed the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) from 2011 to 2013 at Oberoi International School, Mumbai. In 2013, he began to study international AS (Advanced Subsidiary) and A (Advanced) at Podar International School, Mumbai. In 2015, he pursued a bachelor’s degree in science at the London School of Economics and Political Science, London.

Aayushmaan’s father, Raju Srivastava, is a comedian. His mother, Shikha Srivastava, is a housewife. He has an older sister, Antara Srivastava, who is a film director.
His father died on 21 September 2022 after 41 days of treatment at AIIMS New Delhi, where he was admitted in August 2022 after he collapsed while exercising at a gym in Delhi.
Career
Aayushmaan made his acting debut in 2021 with the short film Speed Dial in which he played a small role as a sitar player.
In 2019, he promoted a campaign started by Kailash Kher where he played the sitar in the ad. In 2019, he has played sitar with Baba Pt. Kartick Kumar in conjunction with Guru Purnima.
In 2020, he appeared in the Amazon Prime series ‘The Forgotten army.’

- In 2020, his name is in the Guinness world record for the largest Indian cinematic music group for being part of the 1,046 musicians who performed for the Amazon Prime series ‘The Forgotten army’.
