Abdu Rozik aka Savriqul Muhammadroziqi was born on Tuesday, September 23, 2003 (age 19 years; in 2022) in Gishdarva, Panjakent District, Tajikistan. His zodiac sign is Libra. He did schooling until class 10. Then, he started learning to read and write. At a very young age, he started working as a singer on the streets of Gishdarva.

In 2019, when he was singing on the streets of Gishdarva, he was supported by Tajik blog-rap writer Baron (Behruz), who convinced Abdu’s father to allow him to venture into singing. In childhood, he was diagnosed with rickets, growth hormone deficiency. Due to his family’s poor financial situation, they could not afford proper medical treatment for his illness, which resulted in stunted physical growth. In an interview, when asked if his health condition affected his self-esteem, Abdu replied,
Not really. I know many people who have no job, no good family, and no money. I too have had the same difficulties, but I am happy with what I have achieved now. I shared the stage with the greatest composers in the world; what else do I want in my career? I want to inspire people who have the same situation. I believe everyone is special in some way.”

Abdu has lent his voice to various Tajik songs such as “Ohi Dili Zor” (2019), “Chaki Chaki Boron” (2020), and “Modar” (2021).

In an interview, he shared how he started singing. He said,
I learned the songs by listening to them on cassettes. Whenever I’m stressed, I always hum and sing to distract myself. Eventually, singing became an interest. I live in a village, so I used to sing in the bazaar. My social media page still has the video from when I started,” he said and added, “I knew about the latest song only after I moved to Dubai.”
His songs can be found on Abdu Rozik’s YouTube channel. The lyrics of most of his songs are based on the struggles he faced in his life.

Abdu has also participated in several MMA fights with children and dwarf players. In May 2021, TikToker and Russian MMA fighter Hasbulla (who also suffers from the same disease) challenged him to an MMA fight. As soon as their MMA match was announced, it caused a stir on social media, but the Russian Dwarf Athletic Association (RDAA) disapproved of it, calling it unethical. When interviewed, Hasbulla was asked about the fight, he said,
Abdu Rozik? He is homeless. Singer. This fight is ridiculous, fighting with a singer would embarrass me.”

Gaining Popularity in India
In 2021, she uploaded a video of her singing the Hindi song ‘Enna Sona’ by Arijit Singh from the movie ‘OK Jaanu’ (2017). He was invited to attend the IIFA (2022) award ceremony held in Abu Dhabi, UAE. During the event, he sang the Hindi song “Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga” from the movie ‘1942: A Love Story’ (1994). He dedicated the song to Salman Khan, who was also present at the event. After the event, Salman Khan met her and hugged her.
Abdu was then invited to India to attend the wedding of AR Rahman’s daughter Khatija Rahman. In an interview, while talking about it, Abdu said,
Ameen (Rahman’s son and musician) knew the work I was doing and contacted me. We kept in touch, and then, we first met in Dubai. We became good friends and later, I met AR Rahmanji. I played the piano and we all had impromptu jam sessions. That was my first meeting with him.”
He has also performed live with famous Indian singer AR Rahman. In an interview, while talking about the same, he said,
I sang Mustafa Mustafa with him on stage. It’s an honor to perform with an Oscar-winning composer, known worldwide for his music. I must have been nervous singing the lines. But he was sweet enough to let me sing all the way. To share the stage with one of my favorite musicians was a dream come true.”
In 2022, he participated in the 16th season of the Hindi reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’. During the interview, she talked about joining the show. He said,
I’m excited and nervous but I can’t wait to start the next chapter of my life with Bigg Boss 16. Being short and petite used to be a hindrance because people always underestimated my abilities. People always maligned me as a poor child of God and mocked me for my disability throughout my childhood, but now look at where I have reached today.”
