On 22 May 2022, Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials raided Pooja Singhal’s house and around 20 crore cash was recovered by them. Chartered accountants (CAs) Pooja Singhal, Suman Kumar Singh, and husband, Abhishek Jha, were questioned by the ED after a large amount of cash was recovered from their house. In the raid, Abhishek Jha and his wife were also found guilty of hiding documents related to the illegal mining case. Soon after the raid, Abhishek Jha was arrested by Enforcement Directorate officials. He was allowed to go home after twelve hours of questioning. After leaving the ED office, Abhishek Jha tried to escape from media reporters by climbing the wall of the neighbour’s house. He took his car from this house and returned home. Despite his efforts, he was caught by several media reporters.
