According to the press release, “a hopeless romantic” will be “given a second chance at love in search of a partner to share life’s sunset years.”

Abigail Heringer first appeared in “The Bachelor” franchise in Season 25. After being eliminated, she continued to find love with Noah Erb in Season 7 of “Bachelor In Paradise”.
The “Bachelor” alum is still friends with many of the Bachelorettes and often supports the show’s new lead, but will she stick with the new spinoff, “The Golden Bachelor”?
In a Q&A on her Instagram Story, Heringer said “I’m definitely intrigued and excited to see a different change of pace!!”
He added that he was “curious [to see] how different the date, conversation and fashion were” so he thought he would watch.
During Heringer’s time on Bachelor Nation, the 28-year-old was very open about his hearing loss and how he wore a cochlear implant. He noticed that Turner, the new lead of “The Golden Bachelor” who just turned 71, also wore a hearing aid when he wrote “and peeked at the hearing aid” in his Story.

ABC recently announced that 71-year-old Gerry Turner will be the new lead in the upcoming spin-off series, “The Golden Bachelor.”
“He broadcasts his thirst traps in leather-bound albums. His DM has a post… He’s not gray, he’s got ‘wisdom.’ Florida wants to retire, and move to it,” ABC’s teaser announcement says.
Turner is the first senior to find love in the “Bachelor” franchise. He was a “retired restaurateur and loving father and grandfather, Gerry [GAIR-ee] Turner lives in his dream home on a beautiful lake in Indiana,” according to ABC. “He was always busy hosting barbecues, playing pickleball, cheering on his favorite Chicago sports team, four-wheeling, and spending time with friends and family at local restaurants and residences.”
The 71-year-old married his high school sweetheart in 1974 and has two daughters together. “Always a romantic, Turner married his high school sweetheart, Toni, in 1974,” reports ABC. “Together, they lived a full and happy life with their two daughters, Angie and Jenny, and later two granddaughters, Charlee and Payton.”
Unfortunately, in 2017, Toni passed away after falling ill. Six years after his death, Turner says he’s ready to put himself back out there. “Six years after Toni’s death and with the support of her family, Turner is ready to put herself out there and find a love that will stand the test of time in her golden years,” ABC concluded.
The new series will air this fall on ABC. The exact date has not yet been announced.
