A Texas drug dealer who was killed along with his pregnant girlfriend in a suspected botched deal didn’t shy away from his illicit behavior, using a wad of cash in a photo uploaded to social media.
Matthew Guerra, 22, and 18-year-old Savanah Soto, who was 9 months pregnant, were found shot to death on Dec. 26 — four days after she was reported missing after missing her scheduled induction date.
Their alleged killer, Christopher Preciado, 19, was arrested and charged with murder Wednesday after he allegedly confessed to killing the young couple in Guerra’s car, but claimed he had acted in self-defense, police records show.
Preciada’s father, Ramon Preciado, was arrested with his son for allegedly helping to move the bodies of Guerra and Soto after they and their unborn child were killed.
Christopher Preciado allegedly told police Soto and Guerra had driven to his home to sell him marijuana when Guerra pulled out a gun, an arrest affidavit obtained by the Express News states.
The accused killer claims he struggled with a drug dealer for a gun, shooting him and his pregnant girlfriend in the process.
Police, however, noted that the story was inconsistent with the gunshot wounds to the head suffered by Guerra and Soto.

Ramon Preciado then allegedly helped his son move the body to the parking lot of a nearby apartment complex in San Antonio.
San Antonio investigators believe drug trafficking played a factor in the murder.
Guerra’s family told police shortly after the body was found that he was involved in drug dealing and often posted pictures of drugs and cash on social media.

“People wanted to rob the boyfriend, and it was stated that he had been shot before,” the affidavit said.
Ramon Preciado denied the alleged drug-dealing theory that disappeared as he was bundled into a police cruiser Wednesday night, yelling at reporters who asked if he was sorry.
“Always fake news … Don’t you regret lying about what you said? You don’t know what happened. You are just making things up as usual,” said Ramon Preciado.
The Preciados were tracked down after police released surveillance footage earlier this week showing two men at the scene.

One suspect was behind the wheel of Guerra’s Kia Optima, pulling up in the parking lot to a dark pickup truck driven by another suspect.
The man in the truck then took a white towel and wiped the door of the Optima before they both drove away.
Police believe Soto and Guerra were dead and in the car when the video was taken.
Soto’s cell phone was later found next to her body, which proved crucial to tracing back to the crime scene, leading police directly to security video.

The vehicle led police to a home where they found the father and son. He said Ramon Preciado opened the door and cooperated with the investigation.
“He knew why the police were there,” police Sgt. Washington Moscoso during a press briefing late Wednesday.
Christopher Preciado is charged with capital murder, while his father faces charges of abuse of a corpse, police said. More charges pending.
