Corporate Work

Acharya Prashant started his career in 2003 as an assistant manager at GE Capital, a company in Gurgaon. In 2004, he joined ECS Private Limited in Gurgaon, where he worked as a Senior Consultant for more than a year. The following year, he was appointed as a Senior Manager at the media company ‘Bennett Coleman and Co. Ltd’ in New Delhi. After working there for a year, he resigned in October 2006.

Advait Life Education

In 2006, Acharya Prashant started a sole proprietorship named ‘Advait Life Education’ where he introduced ‘Life Education Courses’ in various educational institutions located in different cities and states. He also introduced the ‘Student Development Program’ (SDP) and the ‘Management Development Program’ (MDP) to his students. In an interview, he revealed that he faced many difficulties when starting the company. He further added that when he realized that his teaching faculty could not achieve the desired objective, he took it upon himself to deliver lectures at the host college where he continued to travel for almost five years, because his host college was located in a different city and state. He took his first interactive lecture in 2008 and later continued to conduct open seminars. In 2011, he started recording his live sessions and started uploading them on his YouTube channel.

PrashantAdvait Foundation

In December 2015, he established a non-profit socio-spiritual organization, ‘PrashantAdvait Foundation.’ He founded the organization with the aim of eliminating the falsehood found in individuals and society as a whole. The goal is to foster a scientific and spiritual approach to self and life. Through this organization, he started conducting an online course on Advaita Vedanta (a Hindu sadhana) where he taught 17 forms of the Gita and 60 forms of the Upanishads. Besides offering Vedanta courses in his own organization, Acharya’s non-governmental organization (NGO) is actively involved in partnerships with prestigious engineering and management institutes in India. They offer Vedanta classes to the students of this institute for free, without expecting payment or donation. The organization has successfully organized online classes on Vedanta by the Acharya in reputed Indian institutions like IIT Delhi, IIM Ahmedabad, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, NIT Jamshedpur and Banaras Hindu University.

Publishing

He has written articles for various well-known newspapers. He has written more than 85 books on spirituality. His book, “Karma: Why Everything You Know About It Is Wrong,” achieved tremendous success in August 2021, when it reached the top position on the Nielsen Bookscan bestseller list and in October 2021, it secured the eighth position on the bestseller list published by Asian era.

  • In an interview, Acharya revealed that he was fond of reading since childhood. He revealed that he started reading about Operation Blue Star when he was five years old. He further added that he started reading classical and spiritual books at a very young age.
  • While working in the corporate sector, he once taught a self-designed course called ‘Leadership Perspectives Through Literature’ at an MBA institution on weekends.
