John Schneider has angered the BeyHive after comparing Beyoncé to a dog, marking his territory for his recent venture into country music.
Some fans blasted him as “racist and hateful” and commented that the singer didn’t need his permission to create country music.

During the Super Bowl, Beyoncé introduced a new song, “Texas Hold ’em,” from her upcoming album, which is the second installment in the Renaissance trilogy. The song explores country music, representing a remarkable genre shift for the Grammy Award-winning singer.
While many members of the BeyHive have embraced Beyoncé’s bold venture into country music, some individuals have not taken it kindly.
One of them is actor and singer John Schneider, 63, best known for his role on “Dukes of Hazzard.”

In an interview with conservative network One American News (OAN), he likened Beyoncé to a dog trying to leave her mark when asked about his views on musicians who explore various genres and are often associated with leftist perspectives.
“Leftists in the entertainment industry won’t leave any area alone, will they? They just have to master every aspect, right?” Schneider’s host had asked him.
The musician then replied, “They have to make their mark, just like a dog in a park walks a dog. You know, every dog has to mark every tree, right? So that’s what happened here.”

Social media erupted with BeyHive outrage in response to Schneider’s statement, with many expressing their disapproval and slamming his comments as “racist and hateful.”
One user commented, “Beyoncé can do whatever she wants to do. He doesn’t need your permission, John Schneider.”
Another fan said, “Did John Schneider just compare Beyonce to a dog?? So Beyonce singing a country song made her a dog?? WTF. And what do they mean by THEY have to make their mark like a dog in a dog walking park”..Disgusting and disrespectful because we created the genre. It’s our tree!!
Others said, “Come on John Schneider, keep Beyonce’s name out of your mouth.”
Another added, “I actually kind of understand John Schneider’s bitterness towards Beyonce. Because his career has basically been mid since they put that Confederate-loving 69 Dodge Charger in the garage. And like the South, John Schneider’s career is unlikely to bounce back…”
Another individual, “John Schneider, close the f— up challenge. I used to love this man, but now he’s just a racist, right-wing extremist, just like everyone else.”
A Local Station Is Slammed For Not Playing Beyoncé’s New Song

A local country music station, 100.1 KYKC, also angered BeyHiver when they refused to play the song after it was requested.
One fan took to social media to complain, claiming that they sent her an email that read, “We don’t play Beyonce on KYKC because we’re a country music station.” He also accused the station of racism.
However, the music station denied the accusations of racism through a representative, saying that they are “owned by a minority-owned company” and that they “play music if it’s good,” regardless of “who it is or what they look like.”
The station also defended why they didn’t play the song, claiming that they weren’t aware Beyoncé was dropping the national anthem.
They said, “Honestly we didn’t know he had dropped a country song and no distributor sent it to us. Once we finally got it, we added it to our playlist.”
Beyoncé’s Upcoming Album: ‘Renaissance: Act II’
In addition to “Texas Hold’ Em,” Beyoncé also debuted another song from the album, “16 Carriages.”
The singer co-wrote “Texas Hold’ Em” with veteran R&B artist Raphael Saadiq, who also served as the song’s co-producer. Meanwhile, he collaborated with Robert Randolph in “16 Carriages.” The full album is scheduled for release on March 29, 2024.
Although Beyoncé has not officially named the new album, many are calling it “Renaissance: Act II” because, in June 2022, the singer revealed that her previous album “Renaissance” will be part of a three-act project.
“This three-act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic,” Beyoncé wrote in a post on her website at the time.
She added, “Making this album allowed me a place to dream and find an escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time of little movement…. It was a beautiful journey of exploration.”
