Actress Brittany Snow Files For Divorce After Three Years Of Marriage

After nearly three years of marriage, Brittany Snow filed for divorce from her husband Tyler Stanaland.

Snow Cited Irreconcilable Differences for Divorce

In Snow’s divorce petition obtained by The Blast, she cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and claims a date for her separation has yet to be set. Snow and her ex Stanaland had a prenuptial agreement to set aside potential divorce proceedings. He also asked that he and Stanaland pay their own attorney fees.

The Blast originally reported the couple’s split in September, after the “Pitch Perfect” star announced it on her Instagram account.

In an Instagram post, Snow wrote, “After time and consideration, Tyler and I have made the difficult decision to separate. These decisions are made with love and mutual respect for each other. We’ve come to realize that we need to take some time and make sure we each live our most fulfilling and authentic lives. We started this journey as best friends and our relationship will continue to be a priority not only for us but for our dog Charlie. We greatly appreciate your support and ask for privacy as we navigate this new chapter.”

What Causes Couples Divorce?

Stanaland’s work in the show “Selling the OC,” may have caused friction between the couple. A source told Page Six that Snow did not approve of Stanaland’s appearance on the show. Stanaland comes from real estate agent lineage, as well as Laguna Beach native descent, and that cemented his work as a realtor for The Oppenheim Group – the real estate agency best known for its “Selling Sunset” show. Stanaland is also a professional surfer, coming from two parents who preceded him in the world of surfing.

The Blast also previously reported that Stanaland went out drinking with reality TV stars Alex Hall and Polly Brindle shortly after he and Snow announced their split. According to an eyewitness source for E! The news is, he doesn’t seem upset and is enjoying the single life.

The couple originally met in 2018 through social media and mutual friends. According to People, their friends knew they would be perfect together. He sent her an Instagram direct message, and they shared tacos and tequila on their first date. At the time, Stanaland claimed they were crazy about each other, and they later got engaged in 2019.

Stanaland Depicts the Health Struggle

Amidst the breakup and divorce news Stanaland also recently posted about his health issues in an Instagram post. He reflects on his journey being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2012, and the surgery that saved his life.

Stanaland wrote, “A reminder that health is wealth. And most importantly a reminder to do the things that make you feel alive with your loved ones, for as long as humanly possible.”

“I always say being sick is the worst thing that ever happened to me because it puts life into perspective in a way that only it can,” Stanaland wrote.

He concludes, “But finding comfort in discomfort is where all the magic happens. Sometimes life throws you a curveball and slows you down. And sometimes that’s what you need and that’s where the best things happen.”
