Adjoa Andoh HonFRSL is a British actor. He has been on stage in leading roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre, the Royal Court Theatre, and the Almeida Theatre. She played Francine Jones in two seasons of Doctor Who, as well as 90 episodes of the hit BBC medical drama Casualty and EastEnders.
Andoh made her Hollywood debut in the Clint Eastwood drama picture Invictus in the fall of 2009, as Brenda Mazibuko, Nelson Mandela’s chief of staff, alongside Morgan Freeman as Mandela. Since 2020, she has portrayed Lady Danbury in the Netflix medieval romance series Bridgerton. In July 2022, Andoh was named an honorary fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
