Adrienne Bailon-Houghton and her husband of seven years, Israel Houghton, are overjoyed about their baby boy, Ever James’ latest achievement.
Ever was the first and only child the couple shared, and she was born via surrogate on August 5, 2022. A year after her birth, she took her first steps, much to the delight of her parents as they documented it on social media , just in time for her debut New York Fashion Week.
Adrienne Bailon Documented Her Son Taking His First Steps On Instagram
Adrienne and Israel showcased their son’s achievements, using an Instagram video with the little one walking with minimal guidance in preparation for his NYFW appearance. The video, set to Gilbran Alcocer’s “Idea 9,” begins with the toddler swaddled in a white blanket and revealing his face with a toothless smile.
It then cuts to a view of her taking excited steps from her father to her uncle Justin Sylvester in a small room before showing her walking down a corridor between the two men. Ever was filmed taking careful steps in the wider space and faltering but was guided from behind by Justin until he reached his father, who hugged and kissed him.
“Look who’s walking ? @everjames,” Adrienne said in the caption. “I can’t believe we took his first steps with uncle @justinasylvester – the best memories we will have forever & Forever ♾️.”
She added, “And today… she walked in her first @rookieusa #NYFW fashion show – with her besties @jetmariealexander & @beauharperalexander! It’s a family tradition I’ve been dreaming about for years… and today is the day! Yes, I am crying typing this… Xx.”
Her followers were just as excited as she was, as they flooded the post with praise for little Ever. One such commenter was fellow “The Real” alum Tamera Mowry, who wrote, “So it begins! ❤️❤️❤️ Can’t wait to meet you in person Ever!”
