It’s just a stink bomb.
Adult diapers thought to be explosives diverted a plane headed for Florida on Friday.
Officials ordered a Copa Airlines flight headed from Panama City to Tampa to turn around so a suspected bomb threat could be investigated after it spent about an hour in the air.

The Boeing 737-800 returned to Tocumen International Airport in Panama City around 11am local time and was diverted to a remote runway.
144 passengers had to get off the plane so that the anti-explosion team could search the plane.
But it was an adult diaper wrapped in a black plastic bag in one of the plane’s bathrooms that caused the scare, Panama’s National Police announced on X.

“We have it on a safe track where the police special explosives dog unit and special forces examine the object, and found it to be an adult diaper, ruling out any risk,” Castro said.
The flight, which originally departed at 9:36 a.m. before returning to Panama City, then departed just after 2 p.m. and arrived in Tampa just before 7 p.m.
