Akanksha Sharma is a famous Indian voice artist, host, comedian and YouTuber. He came into the limelight after being chosen as the official Hindi voice of the Japanese cartoon Shin-chan in 2015.

Career
Won over RJ Hunt
In 2013, Radio Mirchi was looking for a new radio jockey for their Sunday morning show; so, they organized a competition titled ‘the hottest RJ in Delhi.’ Akanksha, who is still pursuing her Bachelor’s degree, found out about this competition from a senior who also participated. Akanksha, along with 20000 other contestants, participated in the contest, and she ended up winning it.
Akanksha worked at Radio Mirchi for a year before she quit to complete her studies. While working at Radio Mirchi, he was put under the guidance of famous radio jockey RJ Naved.
Shin-chan’s voice
In an interview, while talking about her journey to becoming a voice artist, she said,
So, along with college, I did a few Radio commercials which also helped in my training to be a dubbing artist – imitating children’s voices for Horlicks commercials and different voices for various other things on radio. From there, I got the idea to become a voiceover artist.”
After completing her studies, Akanksha started working as a freelance voiceover artist. In 2015, he was offered to play the Hindi voice of the fictional character Shin-chan Nohara in the superhit Japanese animated series Crayon Shin-chan. According to him, he was not aware of the cartoon until he started preparing for his voice. Akanksha is the fourth artist to voice Shin-chan’s Hindi since it began airing in 2006 in India.
Other voice-overs
Aside from Shin-chan, he has provided his voice for other famous animated characters such as Bo-chan (Shin-chan’s friend), Nobita (from the Doraemon anime series), and Doraemon’s sister, Dorami.
Akanksha is known to have worked for the professional wrestling show WWE where she dubbed the voice of female wrestlers in Hindi.
Akanksha can perform more than 120 different cartoon voices.
As a YouTuber
Akanksha started her YouTube channel in 2016, and soon, she became a popular face in the Indian YouTube community. His subscriber count on YouTube is approaching 550K in 2020. He has uploaded multiple videos on his YouTube channel, which has millions of views. Her most viewed video is titled “Cartoon Voice Mimic Challenge by Akanksha Sharma,” which has more than 15 million views.
