Akash Dodeja, better known as Jadoo, is an Indian comedian, vlogger and YouTuber. He is famous for appearing in popular YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani’s funny videos.

From 2011 to 2015, he pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Chemical Engineering at Thadomal Shahani College of Engineering in Mumbai, Maharashtra (2011 – 2015). Akash Dodeja’s girlfriend Simran Dhanwani is a model, actress, dancer and YouTuber who has also appeared on YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani’s vine. On January 3, 2024, Simran announced her engagement to Akash. She posted a picture on her Instagram account where Akash is seen proposing to her with a ring.

Since childhood, he has been interested in movies and the entertainment industry. As a child, he would sit and watch old movies with his father, just to enjoy the air-conditioned TV room. Later, she followed the science stream in Class 11 and 12 and enrolled in MBGT tutoring classes, where she met Ashish Chanchlani. One day Ashish and his friend Karan were arguing about Akshay Kumar’s laughing style sitting in the tuition class while Akash, a film buff, was sitting on the bench behind them. While Karan said it was Akshay Kumar’s original style, Ashish said that he imitated the laugh of an old Bollywood actor. In between heated arguments, Akash said that Akshay Kumar imitated the laughter of veteran actors Pran and Jeevan. Akash’s knowledge of Bollywood caught Ashish’s attention, and soon, they became friends. Later, Akash enrolled in Thadomal Shahani College of Engineering in Mumbai, while Ashish enrolled in Datta Meghe College of Engineering, Navi Mumbai. Around 2014-15, while still in college, Ashish started content about grapes and sharing them on social media. Seeing Ashish, Akash is also interested in making wine. Akash will meet Ashish over the weekend and make funny videos for Ashish’s YouTube channel. However, it is a leisure activity for Akash. After completing his engineering, he worked in the corporate sector for two years, before venturing into the entertainment industry.
Career
In July 2015, he started working as a Process Engineer at Aker Solutions in Mumbai, which is a subsea oilfield services (technology) engineering company. He joined as a contract trainee and should become a permanent employee within a year and a half. However, a sharp drop in oil prices caused the company to fire a contract intern in 2017. Later, in 2017, he took up a position as a Process Engineer at TechnoQuest, Inc, where he worked for seven months. After that, he decided to appear in the CAT exam to pursue an MBA. In parallel, he makes wine with Ashish Chanchlani on weekends.

Meanwhile, he also joined the chemical business of his father’s business. On the day of his exam, some fellow CAT aspirants recognized him as Jadoo at the exam center and asked if he was the guy who appeared in Ashish Chanchlani’s video. Later, people started clicking pictures with it. Following this moment, Akash stated that he had gathered a fan base and started taking content creation seriously. He did not pursue an MBA, and instead, began to focus on content creation and running his father’s business. In 2018, he established a self-titled YouTube channel where he posts various kinds of Funny Vlogs, he calls it “Kami-log” since Akash and his friends are always seen in his Vlogs together. His first vlog was on a trip to Goa with friends. In 2019, Akash earned a YouTube Silver Play Button for his self-titled channel.

In 2020, she was widely appreciated for portraying the character of Claudia Ciesla in Ashish Chanchlani’s Sasta Biig Bosss parody video.

In 2022, Chanchlani created a parody of the television show Shark Tank India. This satire, named “Sasta Shark Tank,” showcases Ashish Chanchlani in the role of Paneer Grover (Ashneer Grover), portrays Bharatde founder Simran Dhanwani as Babita Papad (Namita Thapar), Akash Dodeja as Chaman Gutka (Aman Gupta), and Kunal Chabria as Uttapam Example (Anupam Mittal).
