Akhilendra Mishra is an Indian actor. He is famous for playing the character of ‘Karoor Singh’ in the TV series “Chandrakanta” (1990s). Mishra mostly plays evil and comic characters.

Akhilendra Mishra was born on 28 March 1962 (age 57 years; as in 2019) in Chhapra, Bihar, India. He spent four years of his childhood in a gurukul in the town where his father worked. Akhilendra attended Chhapra Zila School and went to Rajendra Chapra College to pursue a BSc in Physics Hons. Mishra wanted to become an Engineer but his interest in acting prompted him to venture into the film industry. She started doing theater at a very young age and did her first role in the Bhojpuri drama “Gauna Ki Rat” which was based on child marriage.
Later, he joined IPTA (People’s Theater Association of India) and Ekjut theater group to study acting.

Career
Akhilendra started his acting career in 1990 with the TV series “Udaan.” Next, he played the role of Kroor Singh in the Doordarshan television series “Chandrakanta.” His role was praised by the public.
Mishra made his film debut in 1993 with the film “Bedardi.” After that, he appeared in films like “Lagaan,” “Gangajal,” “Hulchal,” “Dewar,” “Muavza,” “Veer-Zara,” “Do Duni Char,” and “Kabil.”
He has also appeared in several TV series including “Bhagyavidhaata,” “Ramayan,” “Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev,” “Diya Aur Baati Hum,” and “Tu Mera Hero.”
Mishra played the role of ‘Kans’ in “Mahabharata.”
In 2019, he appeared as the lead father-in-law in Star Bharat’s romantic comedy show “Pyaar Ke Papad.”
