Akshay Kelkar was born on 16 March in Kalwa, Thane, Maharashtra. He attended Sahkar Vidya Prasarak Mandal High School in Kalwa and went to LS Raheja School of Art, Bandra to pursue a degree in commercial art. Since childhood, he wanted to be an art director.

Career

Akshay made his debut in 2013 with the Marathi serial “Be Dune Daha” in which he played the role of Kabir. Next, he played the role of Uday Deshpande in Colors Marathi serial “Kamala.” Kelkar made his film debut in 2014 with the Marathi film “Premasathi.” He played a supporting role in the film. Next, he featured in the Marathi film “Kanha.”

In 2016, Akshay appeared in the lead role in the film “College Cafe.” After that, she featured in “Madhuri.” His performance in both the films was liked by the audience.

Apart from films, Kelkar has also featured in several TV commercials such as Raj Masala TVC and Zee Marathi matrimonial site. In 2019, he played the role of Abhishek in SAB TV’s comedy “Bhakharwadi.” In 2022, he joined the reality TV game show ‘Bigg Boss Marathi 4.’
