Al Primo began his career as a news executive at KDKA-TV in 1953. He worked with the club for 11 years until leaving in 1964. In June 1965, he was hired as News & Public Affairs Director by KYW-TV. He left in September 1968 and worked for WABC-TV in the same job until June 1972. His other professional experience came from ABC TV where he worked in 1968. For nine years, he was the network’s Vice President of News and Executive Producer. . Al is currently the President of Eyewitness News Kids. They created a 30-minute television show.
Death
Primo was found dead at his home in Old Greenwich, Connecticut, on September 29, 2022. He died of cancer at the age of 87.
