Al Roker will be back soon, doing his best.
The Television personality was rushed to the hospital about two months ago when he had a life-threatening health risk of blood and lung clots. This caused him to miss several “TODAY” show broadcasts, notably the “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade” and the “annual Christmas Tree Lighting” at Rockefeller Center.
Al Roker Is Going Back To Work!
Roker, who is expected to return to work as host on Friday, will continue to serve as weatherman and anchor after fully recovering from his lingering health problems. The exciting news of her return was shared with viewers of the NBC morning show by fellow Anchors Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Craig Melvin.
The excitement over Roker’s return by the Today team is likely because he has been a part of the show since 1996 even though his replacement’s appearances date back to 1990.
Therefore, it was undisputed when the three Anchors who had worked closely with him over the years sat in their usual style around the large glass table, squinting with excitement as they relayed the information about his return to work.
“We have good news to share this morning: Al is coming back to the show,” Guthrie said in the video. Kotb supported that statement by adding:
“Everybody’s like, ‘When when?’ Well, we have our date; He will be here on Friday, He will be here in Studio 1A. This is his place. He will be in his seat, right where he is. I can’t wait for that.”
Today’s male host, Melvin, talked about the journalist’s return by praising the reunion and ended by saying he loved the idea of ”everyone back together,” to which Guthrie, 51, sweetly said, “Our sunshine is coming back. Morning Friday.”
The announcement from the trio comes months after the Author was released from the hospital in time for Thanksgiving. The Blast reported how he posted an impressive video of himself walking out in a green themed shirt and black pants.
The video features Roker in his face mask, telling his followers that he’s ready to dive into the festivities. He began by saying, “This is my version of the Thanksgiving Day parade. Get ready to leave the hospital. Time to blow this taco stand,” then ended with a “wahoo” as he ended his victorious ride.
The report further details how the 68-year-old won over fans when he uploaded a photo of himself sitting in front of a TV set featuring Guthrie and Kotb doing their thing.
The caption read, “Back home just in time for a little #macythanksgivingdayparade,” alongside her big smile and thumbs-up pose in the picture saying how much she really misses her co-workers.

The women, in return, conveyed their congratulations to him during their live report on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which the weatherman had not missed for 27 years. Guthrie gushed, “We love you, Al. See you next year.”
Accordingly, the voice star of “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” shared two more photos with his family. According to reports, the first photo features his beautiful wife, Deborah Roberts, and their three children— Courtney, Leila and Nicolas, then the second photo is a selfie of the kids. Rocker wrote:
“So #grateful to be home for a #thankful #dinner with #family.”
Al Roker Happy Christmas With Family
As mentioned, Roker has had a rough few months in and out of the hospital, but thankfully, he made it out for the Thanksgiving festivities. The Blast then recently reported that he was excited to spend Christmas at home.
Roker uploaded a picture from the morning of the holiday, looking ready for the day ahead. The first slide shows him surrounded by his wife and children in their matching green PJs with the cartoon character “Peanuts” printed all over. The following slide shows the family pet dog styled in the same gear.
