Actor Alec Baldwin is grateful for all the support he received in Montana after filming both “Supercell” and “Rust” there.
The 65-year-old actor took to Instagram to share screenshots from his new film, “Supercell,” which had a silent release in independent theaters earlier this year.
Alec Baldwin ‘Grateful’ For Support He Received Filming ‘Supercell’ and ‘Rust’ In Montana
On Monday, the “30 Rock” actor took to Instagram to share a screenshot of himself in a cowboy hat from his 2023 film “Supercell.” The film, which also features late “Volcano” actress Anne Heche, also features Baldwin in a cowboy hat for most of the film.
The film’s synopsis reads: “To follow in the footsteps of his legendary storm chaser father, a teenage boy leaves his mother and runs away from home.”
In the caption, Baldwin revealed that he also filmed “Supercell” in Montana. They shot some shots in Billings, which is located in southern Montana along the Yellowstone River. “Rust” is currently filming at the Yellowstone Film Ranch outside of Bozeman, Montana.
“We recorded SUPERCELL in Billings. Now outside of Bozeman to complete RUST. Montana is amazing,” Baldwin wrote in the caption. “I am grateful for all the support I have received here.” Many fans took to the comments to express support for the actor, who was recently acquitted of criminal charges for the October 2021 shooting of “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
Fans Show Support For Baldwin As He Resumes Filming ‘Rust’
Charges against Baldwin were dismissed without prejudice, meaning they can be refiled as Santa Fe special prosecutors continue their investigation. However, many fans took to commenting on his latest post to express support for the actor, with one fan writing, “We’re all behind you, Alec.”
“You are a good person. So happy for you and your family and the peace you deserve,” another follower wrote. “It was an unfortunate accident and I believe you are dealing with the trauma of an event that has changed your life forever. God Bless and keep you,” a third fan chimed in. “The Yellow Stone Country! There’s a place you can escape with the family for sure!” another follower wrote.
“You are a great actor. Don’t let the crash stop you. It is sad that he died and others were injured. But creativity must go on,” another fan added, referring to director Joel Souza, who was standing behind Halyna Hutchins when she was shot. He was hospitalized in the incident but has since returned to finish filming “Rust” along with many of the cast and crew.
Alec Baldwin Seen Handling Shotgun on ‘Rust’ Set
MEGA
On Saturday, just one day after the manslaughter charge was officially dropped, photos from the set of “Rust” in Montana showed the 65-year-old actor holding a shotgun. He handed the firearm to another crew member first but apparently did not use it for the scene, according to TMZ.
A few days later, the New York Post reported that Baldwin was surrounded by no less than six crew members as he attempted to mount a horse. The crew helped him up a small flight of stairs before he could swing his legs and mount the horse properly.
Baldwin wears his Western costume, including a brown coat, leather boots and a cowboy hat. Fans who follow him and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, on Instagram, have noticed that the actor has been growing his beard for a long time.
Baldwin Missed A Milestone While Filming In Montana
On Monday, the Bostonians took to Instagram to share a video of their daughter Ilaria Catalina Irena Baldwin, who was born on September 22, 2022. Although she’s only seven months old, Alec was away filming in Montana and missed the milestone.
“ilaria catalina irena: 7 months brought us joy. You and your sisters are such guides of light and grace,” Hilaria wrote in the caption. “Dedes (Edu and Lu) feel obliged to be your translator: ‘honey doesn’t like food! Babies don’t like it!’”
“It takes a minute to get you into solid food…but we look forward to a lifetime of amazing meals with you,” she added. “Your expression of shock and disgust is epic. We promise you: great food!!!”
