Actor Alec Baldwin wants to star in a reality series featuring his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, and all their children.
The 65-year-old actor revealed that he eventually wants to retire from acting and spend more time at home with his family. The actor has seven children with his wife Hilaria as well as a daughter, Ireland Baldwin, from his marriage to ex-wife Kim Basinger.

The “30 Rock” actor told Kelly Ripa on SiriusXM’s Let’s Talk Off Camera that he would like to eventually retire and become the star of his own reality show, similar to what the Kardashians and Osbournes have done. The 65-year-old actor revealed that he barely broke even in his previous projects because of how much money he spent on hotel rooms, plane tickets, and food for his extended family.
“In the old days I would jump on a plane and go to LA and do a movie here or some episode of Will and Grace that I did for a while,” he said, as transcribed by the Daily Mail. “You know, different things like that. And it’s easy to grab and go. They don’t have, I need 12 plane tickets, you know, the nanny, my kids, my wife, I need 11. They don’t even have 11 seats in the business class section of the plane.”

He recalls taking a work trip to Los Angeles four years ago, before the shutdown of the COVID-19 pandemic. “We’ll be in a hotel and we always stay in the same hotel because it’s the only hotel that can combine four suites, so we can all stay together,” he said. “And I’ll look at my wife and I’ll say, ‘You realize we’re not going to make a dime. We’re not going to make a dime.'”
He continued, “It’s mashed potatoes, room service is $20, diet Coke is $11. I said, ‘You realize we’re not going to make a cent. Private jets, hotels, room service, we’re going to break even on this job that I’m doing. .’” He went on to say, “So everything we do and then… shows that we’ve considered and the tone that we’ve done. listen, even a pitch or two we made about our family and the reality show was all so we could stay home and just work from home.”
The actress revealed that she was “desperate to try to work from New York” to be closer to her family, even if it meant allowing cameras inside her New York City home.

Kelly Ripa seems to really agree with Alec’s idea. “I think it’s the smartest thing. It’s a show I’ll watch because you’re so sheltered in the Hollywood world. You are a world famous actor,” he said.
Although Alec and Hilaria seem to be, it doesn’t seem clear how their children feel. The couple, who tied the knot in 2012, share children Carmen, 10, Rafael, eight, Leonardo, six, Romeo, five, Eduardo and Lucia, both two, and one-year-old Ilaria. During the interview, she stated that she wants to work less to spend time with her children when they grow up.
“I have been working less and less and I am at home with my wife and we want to travel the world with the children,” he said. “I mean, I want to show seven kids Rome and London and Paris and Madrid and blah, blah, blah. And we think about it now, where we have different lives in terms of work. I was really thinking about, you know, I’ve had enough, I mean, I’ve been doing this for a long time and I want to have a personal life.
Alec Baldwin May Still Be Charged For Shooting ‘Rust’

On October 21, 2021, Alec Baldwin shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the movie “Rust” when the gun he was holding for the scene went off. Although Baldwin maintains that he never drew attention, he was charged with involuntary manslaughter in January 2023. A few months later, the charge was dropped without prejudice, pending further investigation.
However, last month, prosecutors revealed that they were considering charging Baldwin again. If convicted, he could face up to 18 months in prison and a $5,000 fine.
