Alicia Keys ripped for tone-deaf post about paragliders after Hamas used them in deadly attack at Israeli festival

Alicia Keys has raised eyebrows with a rather tone-deaf post about how she “looks into paragliding” – days after Hamas terrorists used paragliders to fly into Israel in their unprecedented attack on the Jewish state.

Keys posted a photo of herself wearing a green jacket on her Instagram on Monday, saying, “What would you do if you weren’t afraid of anything???

“Tell me your truth …I’ve been looking into paragliding…,” he added with a “side eye” emoji in a since-deleted message.

The singer was immediately slammed for his post amid the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, whose terrorists used paragliders to attack an Israeli music festival where they killed at least 260 people.

Some social media users also accused him of showing sympathy for the terrorist group by wearing green, the same color as the Hamas flag.

“Is this a painful compliment to the Hamas terrorists who infiltrated Israel, killed over 1300 people, beheaded babies, raped women, and kidnapped Holocaust survivors?” he said to X.

Author Rabbi Shmuley Boteach also criticized Keys.

“What are you thinking about paragliding into? to Israel and shoot and kill people?” he told Sky News. “I’m struggling to find words because we’re all in such a state of shock that the world has no morals.”

Following the backlash, the singer apologized and removed the offending post.

“The post I shared is in no way related to the recent terrible loss of innocent life. My heart is broken…. I pray and stand for peace,” Keys said in a statement to her Instagram Stories.

His former manager, Israeli American Guy Oseary, also confirmed that he meant no harm.

“There were specific words in his post that our community at this very painful time found very triggering, but they were completely unrelated in any way,” he wrote. “I spoke to Alicia and she was horrified to find out what the word meant and immediately took it down.”

Oseary added: “Alicia has always been a fighter for all human rights. I’ve had a front row seat for over a decade seeing his positive influence in the world. His humanitarian work reflects his empathy and his heart.”
