A heartless Florida woman has been found guilty of burning a seemingly docile raccoon alive in a trash can — and filming the animal’s fiery torment for Snapchat.
Alicia Kincheloe, 30, of Sarasota, was convicted Wednesday of felony counts of aggravated cruelty to an animal and tampering with evidence stemming from the sickening incident, which saw the creature stabbed with a pitchfork, doused in gasoline and set on fire, according to the Office Sheriff of Sarasota.
In his Snapchat video that went viral in August 2022, Kincheloe can be heard joking, “We just burned his ass, who’s hungry?” The footage then shows the charred remains of the raccoon in a trash can.
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Agriculture Unit learned of Kincheloe’s boring Snapchat antics on Aug. 11, according to a new release from the agency.

Although the raccoon seen staring at the camera showed no signs of aggression, Kincheloe labeled it “meaningful.”
In another video, her father, Roddy Kincheloe, 63, is seen “watering a trash can, which is smoking and appears to have been set on fire.”
Kincheloe initially told detectives that while he was recording the video and uploading it to Snapchat, he and his dad were just trying to put out a trash can fire with water from a gas can.

When deputies seized the canister and tested the liquid inside, it came back positive for being “highly flammable.”
During the investigation, a witness came forward saying that he spoke to Alicia Kincheloe after the incident and the woman told him that her father “used a pitchfork” to stab the raccoon before the couple went to lunch.
The father and daughter then returned to the dump to find the animal still alive in the bin.

“Alicia poured gasoline on the animal while Roddy set the animal on fire,” the official said.
Kincheloe was later caught on camera using a pitchfork to remove the charred carcass of a raccoon from a garbage container.

The woman was also hit with an additional count of tampering with evidence for disposing of a dead raccoon off camera.
“This is obviously just a sick and horrible thing to do,” Sarasota Sheriff Kurt Hoffman said at the time.
Kincheloe faces up to five years in state prison when he is sentenced on Dec. 19.
