In an interview with People magazine, Allison Holker Boss reminisces about the simple but priceless moments she shared with her late husband, Stephen “tWitch” Boss. During the emotional conversation, Holker recalled that one of their favorite after-work activities was cooking dinner together in the kitchen. “Stephen would stop me every time I walked past him,” she said.

Then at mealtime, the family of five, including would engage in “random conversation” with “a lot of laughter.”

“Our love is very real and very strong. We always tell people that our house is like a choreographed dance,” added the dancer and TV host.

Opening up in her first interview since the tragic death of her husband, who died at the age of 40 by suicide on December 13, Holker shared that his death shocked and deeply affected her, stating, “Nobody thought that she was humble. She didn’t want people know.” The mother of three also revealed that despite being his partner, she doesn’t know that Boss is struggling because he keeps his pain to himself and wants to be everyone’s “Superman and protector”.

It’s been a difficult few months for the widow as she tries to understand the pain her husband must be going through alone while still holding on to the “beautiful life” they built together. “It was very difficult because I couldn’t understand what was happening at the time [he died],” he shared.

While still struggling with a range of complex emotions, Holker shared that she is motivated to carry on her husband’s legacy and honor the beautiful man. “Stephen brought so much joy to this world, and he deserves to be remembered as a beautiful man,” she said.

In memory of her late husband, Holker founded the Move with Kindness Foundation to raise awareness and funds for mental health initiatives. Through the foundation, she hopes to encourage people to reach out to others during difficult times and “Trust that people will still see you as that light even in your darkest moments.”

In her interview, Holker revealed that she and her late husband always tried to spread hope and positivity, but after his tragic death, she became confused about her “new purpose” because “love and joy” had always been her family’s purpose. He turned to his friend, Andy Grammer, for advice, who reassured him, saying, “It’s still your purpose. It looks a little different now — and it’s deeper.”

Since Boss’s death, Holker revealed that several men have reached out to him, sharing their struggles with mental health and how much they are enduring.
