News broke this morning that beloved DJ and dancer Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss has died by suicide. He is 40 years old.
He and his wife, Allison Holker, married in 2013 after meeting on the star-studded season of “So You Think Can Dance,” and just celebrated their 9-year anniversary last Saturday.

According to reports, ‘tWitch’s wife Allison Holker ran frantically to the LAPD station on Tuesday, telling them her husband had left home without his car, which was inappropriate. Shortly after, police responded to a call at a hotel in LA, where they found Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
“It is with a heavy heart that I have to share that my husband, Stephen, has left us,” Allison Holker Boss, 34, tells PEOPLE. “Stephen lights up every room he walks into. He values family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light is everything to him. He is the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”
“To say he left a legacy is an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt,” he said. “I’m sure there won’t be a day that goes by where we don’t honor his memory. We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our three children.”
The former “Dancing With the Stars” pro later shared a message for her husband, “Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you.”

Last weekend, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss and Allison Holker Boss celebrated nine years of marriage together.

‘tWitch’ also shared a TikTok video of the two sharing a beautiful kiss before going off screen and showing photos from their wedding day.

Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss rose to fame after finishing second on “So You Think Can Dance.” She then worked on “The Ellen DeGeneres” show, where she quickly became a fan favorite.
