As she graced the carpet of the star-studded Dick Van Dyke 98 Years of Magic special, Kloots talked about the prospect of a new era in her life with ET Online.

Diving into the topic, she was asked about the upcoming chapter of her life, prompting Kloots to humorously draw parallels to pop sensation Taylor Swift and her burgeoning romance with NFL player Travis Kelce.

In a light-hearted exchange, the fitness instructor teased, “Oh, this is like my Taylor Swift Era? However, despite his genuine and honest approach to dating, the 41-year-old has faced criticism for exploring romantic relationships after admitting he’s gone a few times.

While navigating single parenthood with a three-year-old, Kloots initially avoided getting involved with romance. But his choice to try again came with its own challenges, as he shared during a conversation with Cheryl Burke on “Diving Deep.”

When asked about the transition, the “Fit for Christmas” actor expressed his initial doubts, revealing that he was cautiously testing the waters, opting to date another widower. He notes that the strategic choice “helps immediately to break through the discomfort of ‘I come with a lot of emotional baggage.’ You don’t have to explain yourself.”

She quickly withheld any judgment, stating, “You know that criticism that came from ‘Amanda Kloots dating less than a year after Nick died’? Well, I took a quick bite of it, and I was like, ‘absolutely not.’”

Kloots then went a step further by hosting a live and honest Instagram interview with a fellow widow to put “a face on what people call a horrible thing.”
