Amar’e Stoudemire was arrested for allegedly physically abusing his teenage daughter over the weekend.

The former basketball player was arrested Sunday morning in Miami after an argument between himself and one of his two teenage daughters. Stoudemire was booked on one count of misdemeanor battery and one count of domestic violence.
He had to pose for a mugshot in which he looked miserable but he was released shortly after the arrest. It is not clear which one of the teenage girls was hit by their father but one is 17 years old and the other is 14.
follow TMZ, he allegedly hit her in the face twice once with a closed fist and again with an open hand. The child described it as a punch and a slap.

As a result of the slap and punch, according to the daughter, her face was covered in blood. She also said that her father continued to hit her on the body after he was done with her face. The police report claims Stoudemire was triggered to “discipline” his daughter because she had an “attitude”.
The attitude should have been towards their grandmother (her mother) when she called the young girl to help her at home, and she did not obey. This caused Stoudemire to want to lay down the law in “whopping” form. Amar’e’s daughter contacted her mother for support.

Once the teenager contacted his mother, everything happened. After seeing photos of her allegedly injured daughter, Alexis Welch allegedly called 911 to come pick up her children, all four of them.
He was given a $1,500 bond and a restraining order. He is set to. Appeared on 17 Jan. Sources claim that Stoudemire told Miami police that his daughter “took a beating from him for being disrespectful and a liar.”
Police also confirmed they saw “stains of blood” from the encounter. The kicker to all of this was that Stoudemire had graduated earlier that day with a Master’s Degree from the University of Miami which was probably why the kids were there that day, to celebrate dad.

The athlete was officially charged with battery the arrest report read, “I observed blood stains on the victim’s sweater and sweatpants.” It also said, “The victim’s mother showed me a photo she received from her daughter, which showed the victim crying and blood running down her face.”
Stoudemire’s daughter made a “pleading for help” to her mother. Unfortunately, for Stoudemire, the New York Knicks’ social media site issued a congratulatory message to the former player but how much longer will that happen now that this incident has happened?
