Heard’s latest Instagram Story update features two videos from stunt training with renowned martial artist Shane Yan. In the first clip, the two practice a fight sequence in a fitness studio, with the actor wielding a black staff while the stuntman defends himself with a sheathed sword.

The entertainer showed off her impressive figure in a crop top and black leggings as she held the staff with ease and defied her trainer’s moves.

Her incredible moves continue in her next video, where she rocks yet another crop top and leggings combo. However, Heard’s opponents grew to two men, who followed the fight routine of attacking simultaneously and then asking him to take them down one by one.

The TV personality successfully foiled his opponent and ended the fight scene with an iconic superhero landing pose. He captioned the first video with white neon lights, writing: “Training day for Aquaman 2 guys. Thank you, Shane Yan ?” While the second caption read:

“Aquaman training 2. Thanks to the incredible patience of my incredible stunt team. Especially @mightykungfu ?”

Heard’s behind-the-scenes clip comes shortly after she thanked fans for supporting her return as Mera in the DC film. She shared three photos depicting her fictional character’s signature red hair, with the first capturing a close-up of her glamorous face and her hair falling to her shoulders in waves.

Fans Attack Warner Bros Over Amber Heard’s Absence In Aquaman 2′ New Trailer

Heard’s fan appreciation post comes two months after her followers called out Warner Bros for removing her character from the “Aquaman 2” trailer. The actress’ character, Mera, was not seen in the teaser released in November 2023.

The 1 minute 30 second trailer of the film begins with Jason Momoa’s Aquaman talking to his son and promising a great future where they will explore their unique abilities to the fullest. However, their happy dreams are destroyed when the villain Black Manta, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, comes to take revenge.

The teaser also includes the return of Nicole Kidman as Aquaman’s mother Atlanna, but no Mera as the current Queen of Atlantis. This complete absence contrasts with the first trailer, where Heard appears in his blink-and-you’ll-miss-it; however, the director of the sequel claims he was accidentally left out of the footage. In the words of James Wan:

“I have always communicated this to everyone from the very beginning. The first Aquaman was Arthur and Mera’s journey. The second movie was always going to be Arthur and Orm. So, the first is a romantic action-adventure film; the second is a bromance action-adventure film. We leave it alone.”

Despite the director’s claims, fans slammed Warner Bros. for Heard’s absence, with many speculating she had been removed because of her defamation trial with ex-husband Johnny Depp. One individual wondered: “Is Aquaman now a single father? LMFAO. Are they just pretending Amber Heard isn’t playing Mera?”
