Actress Amber Heard doesn’t seem willing to pay $8 for a blue check mark.
In fact, the “Aquaman” actor deleted his Twitter account entirely following Elon Musk’s takeover on October 28. It’s unclear why Heard waited until now to delete her Twitter account.
She has faced massive backlash on social media sites for her highly publicized defamation trial against her ex-husband, Johnny Depp. However, the six-week trial ended on June 1, and it’s been months since their ill-fated relationship made headlines.
This has led some fans to speculate that the reason Heard left the social media company is because it is now controlled by her ex-boyfriend: Elon Musk.

Believe it or not, the “Zombieland” actress dated the Tesla CEO for several years on and off. The two first met on the set of the 2013 film “Machete Kills,” where Musk made a cameo appearance. Although rumors began swirling that they were romantically involved, nothing was confirmed until Heard finalized her divorce from Depp in 2016. Musk also ended his marriage to his wife Talulah Riley that same year.
In April 2017, it seems that things started heating up between the couple. “When the time was right and they were both single last year, he started pursuing her romantically,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “He played hard to get it for a while, which made him more interested.”

That same month, she posted a photo showing Musk looking away from the camera, a lip mark clearly visible on his cheek. Heard has one arm draped over her shoulder as she looks into the camera, wearing red lipstick.
Another source told PEOPLE that Musk was drawn to his “anxiety” and liked that he wasn’t “concerned about being different.” The insider added, “He doesn’t scare easily. He is very focused and loves to learn.”

However, by August, the rumor mill was abuzz with news that the two had broken up. Musk confirmed the speculation shortly after, blaming the split on their busy long-haul schedules.
“Btw, just to clear up some press storms this weekend, even though Amber and I broke up, we are still friends, stay close, and love each other,” Musk wrote at the time. “Long distance relationships when both partners have intense work obligations are always difficult, but who knows what the future holds.”

It is said that, just a few months later, they spent a holiday together visiting Easter Island. In January 2018, they were photographed holding hands while walking through Los Angeles. The following month, however, the couple broke up again. A source told Page Six that Musk had “decided to end things” and that Heard had agreed.
“The timing wasn’t right, but they still care about each other,” the insider explained.

In July 2021, Page Six reported that Heard had secretly welcomed a baby girl via surrogate. He named his newborn daughter Oonagh Paige after her late mother, Paige. In an Instagram post, Heard defended her decision to welcome a child as a single mother.

Despite this, Heard has never publicly revealed the identity of her baby’s father and many have speculated that it could be Elon Musk, who is now a father of ten. Earlier this year, it was revealed that Musk had welcomed twins with a top Neuralink executive.
He also recently had two children with Canadian pop star Grimes: daughter Exa Dark Sideræl and son X Æ A-XII. Musk also shares 18-year-old twins and triplets Damian, Saxon, and Kai, with his ex-wife, author Justine Wilson.

Many users have also deleted their Twitter accounts and it seems Musk is doing himself no favors by suggesting he will now charge $8 for a blue Twitter verification checkmark.
