Career
Amit Tandon worked in the corporate sector before turning into a stand-up comedian. In 2006, he worked as managing director and CEO at Empyrean Partners for eleven years. In 2012, Amit founded Grandmasters of Comedy, a company focused on bringing comedy to the corporate realm. Later, he started performing stand-up comedy related to daily life which was well received by the audience. He is known by his stage name ‘The Married Guy.’ Amit has performed his comedy shows all over the world. He has brought a Singapore face-off comedy show called ‘Fight Comic to India.’ In 2014, he hosted a Doordarshan show called ‘New Year Show.’ Amit Tandon made his television debut with the show ‘CEO’s Got Talent’ (2014) which aired on CNBC TV18.
In 2016, he made his YouTube debut with a video titled ‘Punjabi Family Problem,’ the video went viral and made Amit an overnight star. He later appeared in comedy series such as ‘Comedy Dangal’ (2018) and ‘Comedians of the World’ (2019).
