Amrith Jayan was born in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He pursued a bachelor’s degree in Theater Studies, English and Psychology at Christ University, Bangalore. In March 2023, he joined the David Geffen School of Drama to pursue a Master of Fine Arts in acting at Yale University, United States.

Theater
Amrith has almost 13 years of experience in theatre, and he has performed in various plays. He has been part of the production of various plays such as The First Smuggler, Queen of Sheba, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare and Medea by Euripides. He made his directorial debut at Thespointia 21 with the play “Baksa” which won many theater awards.

On 1 September 2023, he made his debut in the Netflix film Friday Night Plan where he played the role of Adi, the younger brother of the character played by Babil Khan.
