In May 2018, she rose to fame for playing the lead role of Kamali in the television show Kamali on Zee Kannada. In an interview, Amulya shared her experience of getting recognition from Kamali’s television show and said,
Although I have worked in serials before, Kamali, this one gave me recognition. People recognize me by my character name wherever I go. It’s a real feeling. Although we faced many problems during the peak days of Covid, we managed to attract the attention of the audience. This shows the strength of our teamwork.”
