Resources shared with Page Six that the couple “welcomes continued coverage” of their romance, “hoping it will land them a hot new TV deal.”
“It’s easier for them to perform if they stay in the news, and they think they’re rock stars. They are selling their chemistry,” an insider told the news outlet.
The source also stated that the couple used this approach because it worked for them when they were anchors at ABC.
Their chemistry was even commented on by the actors on the network before the two were eventually fired as their affair caused a media firestorm.
“They really believed that their chemistry would sell, because it sold on ABC,” the insider added.
