Actress Nicole Ari Parker is ready to travel and enjoy the holiday season with her family. She credits her peace of mind while traveling during the winter with her decision to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
The “And Just Like That” star recently partnered with Novavax and Healthy Women in the Choose to Protect campaign to help spread the word about the importance of getting vaccinated.

While COVID is no longer the “public health emergency” it once was, Parker wants people to know that it’s not over and it’s still important to stay informed about vaccines.
“First of all, you and I both know that we are no longer in a public health emergency but that COVID is not over so I chose to join forces with Novavax and Wanita Sihat in the Choose to Protect campaign to really help raise awareness about COVID and the importance vaccinated,” he told The Blast exclusively.
“For my family, it is very important to first be informed about our vaccine options to protect ourselves and our loved ones and then make the decision to get vaccinated – my husband, my children and my parents.”

Parker remembers the feeling of not knowing what to expect in 2020 and says the vaccine has allowed him to “appreciate the moments” more now.
“This pandemic is very difficult, and people can’t go anywhere and have a lot of questions playing in our heads – Will I get infected? Will I harm someone without realizing it? How will this affect my work?” he said. “So the vaccine really helps get us back to living and working and seeing our loved ones. The vaccine really allows us to cherish the moments we spend together.”
Parker and her husband, actor Boris Kodjoe, and their two children love to travel, so she says keeping up with the vaccine schedule is easier with that motivation.

While many people will be traveling during the holiday season, maintaining health is more on people’s minds. Parker is happy to partner with Novavax and Healthy Women so she can help spread more awareness and encourage others to take the necessary steps to stay healthy by getting the COVID vaccine. The Choose to Protect campaign offers all the important information, including science-based information, that can help everyone make informed decisions about vaccines.
“We’re not at a place where masks and extreme measures are regulated and mandated yet but there is so much information on choosetoprotect.com to help people support themselves during travel and the holiday season,” he told The Blast.
“I really like all the information that’s out there. Of course, talk to your health care provider. I want people to know that they don’t have to be afraid or hesitate to talk to their health care provider. But to also really learn more about your options by going to choosetoprotect.com.”

Now that the SAG-AFTRA strike is over, Parker is ready to get back to work in front of the camera. He just closed a play in New York and says theater is his “first love.”
“I worked in television and film but theater was my first love, so I just closed a play in New York and it was really exciting to maximize it again,” he told The Blast. “The stage uses every part of you, not just the close up. It’s a three hour 20 minute play and it’s amazing.”
Speaking about the recent SAG strike, he said, “The strike is over! That was a rough one” and he’s ready to return to the set to film another season of “And Just Like That.”
“’And Just Like That’ will return to production for a third season. We are happy about that. And I will go back to work,” he said.
“The theater world, they went on strike a while ago and everything was settled so it was exciting to be able to go to work in the theatre. But yeah, to come back to that amazing show with that great cast, I’m really looking forward to it.”
