The Bravo executive was candid during the cab ride back to NYC. He needs to clarify that he is not an advocate for Jen Shah because the optics are not good. “I got a lot of comments yesterday about the Chris Wallace interview,” he opened on IG live. “I just wanted to clarify the context of what I said.”

Cohen went on to explain further. “I said that in response to people wanting to know if he was coming back to the show. … I knew that there had to be some context, and I should have asked him what that was.”

Andy Cohen is Serious About His Truth

Cohen wanted to make sure his followers knew he wasn’t an advocate for Shah and his criminal antics so after the Live, he posted a follow-up screenshot of a quote he said to Us Weekly back in November 2022.

“He was sentenced on December 15th, so I don’t know what to say to the people who want him on the show,” she told Us Weekly. Cohen went on to say, “I hope he doesn’t get any jail time and he can come back soon … but I don’t think he’s going to be on the show.”

So, Wallace is quite right when he says that Cohen doesn’t want Jen to go to jail, he said he hopes there’s no jail time for Shah and the “context” around what he said doesn’t show that time means anything.

The CNN anchor goes hard on Andy when he asks him about Jen and her recent 6.5 year prison sentence for wire fraud. He wants to know why Andy is so willing to support Jen and even says he doesn’t want her to go to jail.

Cohen insisted that something was wrong and that he didn’t believe he would be on Jen’s side. At the time, he tried to retract his comments. “You know, sometimes, if you know someone and you like them, you hope they’re not guilty of something horrible.”

Cohen and his lack of opinion about Jen and her cheating case initially rubbed fans of the series the wrong way especially considering this season The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City a little disappointing for fans.

Bravo has yet to release an official statement regarding Jen’s arrest and the chain of events that followed. They had, according to Jen’s Instagram post, asked her not to show up at the reunion if she couldn’t talk about her personal drama.

At BravoCon in October, Cohen shared that Jen’s time with Bravo was “over” when she pleaded guilty at the last minute after spending more than a year maintaining her innocence.
