“I am not a comedian [and] I think [‘WWHL’ is] a different kind of talk show,” said the 54-year-old. “I think there’s already a traditional idea of what a late-night talk show is. I would argue that ‘Watch What Happens Live’ redefines the late night talk show. [We had] first bar late at night, [and then] James Corden got a bar. James Corden is a bit hurt [copying our set]. It is what it is.”

Bozzi noted that Corden essentially “rip off” the WWHL aesthetic that Cohen agreed with.

“Frankly, I feel very grateful now, and I’m not just blowing smoke, [and] I’m so glad we’re still going at it,” Cohen said Tuesday. “It was like, ‘Great, copy my set. Go with God.’”

Cohen’s popular talk show premiered on Bravo in July 2009 while Corden’s ‘Late Late Show’ premiered on CBS in 2015.

The Missouri native admits he feels overlooked as a late-night TV host.

“I don’t feel part of the group and I’ve been watching late night TV for 13 years,” Cohen told Bozzi. “Years ago, there was that mass shooting Vanity Fair did all the late night talk show hosts and they left me out, but they added in James Corden, who’s not on the air yet, and Trevor Noah, who just started.”

VFThe editor-in-chief, Graydon Carter, later admitted his wrongdoing.

“‘You’re right, you should be in it,’ which means a lot to me that he admits it,” Cohen added.

The Bravo superstar is gearing up to host another New Year’s Eve special on CNN, and she promises to be boozier and bigger than ever.

Cohen has hilariously and drunkenly hosted CNN’s “New Year’s Eve Live” with his good friend and fellow TV host, Anderson Cooper, since 2017.

It has become a tradition for TV stars to indulge in booze live and show off their descent into drunkenness.

While many people enjoy watching Cohen and Cooper laugh their way into the new year, Seacrest feels differently.

Speak to Entertainment WeeklyThe “American Idol” host said, “I don’t advocate drinking when someone is on the air.”

In the past year, Cohen has been involved in so many drinks that he has been called out by Mayor Bill de Blasio and Seacrest.

Last year, Cohen called the Seacrest entertainers “a bunch of losers.”

The ‘Real Housewives’ creator finally apologized for her drunken mistake, but the breakdown left a lasting impression.

“The only thing I’m sorry to say, the only thing is that I slammed the ABC broadcast, and I really like Ryan Seacrest, and he’s a great guy,” Cohen said. “And I really regret saying it, and I was just stupid and drunk and feeling it. I just kept talking, and I shouldn’t have, and I feel bad about it. So that’s the only thing [I regret]. It’s the only thing.”

Seacrest also chimed in on the little thing.

“There are some people who are quite respectable or at least one, right?” Seacrest joked about Cooper and Cohen. “I think there are serious journalists and then my friends who are having a lot of fun, but it might be a good idea [to cut out booze].”

Seacrest found that it was the alcohol that was talking and not Cohen’s or Cooper’s brain or heart.

“[I don’t] think they would have said what they said about our performers if they hadn’t been drinking,” he explained.

When CNN announced they would cut back on Cohen’s alcohol consumption, the “Watch What Happens Live” host had some intention of breaking the rules.

The host shared a clip from an episode of his hit show “Watch What Happens Next” on Instagram, where he responded to CNN’s new rules. The clip begins with Cohen giving the Jackhole of the Day spot to a Diversity article with the headline, “CNN Plans to Tone Down Boozy New Year’s Eve Coverage.”

After that, he motioned for the camera to zoom in on his face.

“I just want you to know Anderson and I will be partying harder than we’ve ever been before on New Year’s Eve!” he screamed. “Do you understand me?!” At this passionate declaration, his audience clapped loudly and cheered him on.
