Career
He always wanted to be an actor. Anjali completed her studies in Mass Media and worked as an associate producer at Never Ending Story (a famous production house). In an interview, while talking about her journey to becoming an actor, she said,
So, I continued my Mass Media studies and went on to work as an Associate Producer in an ad publishing house with the hope that I would get an acting gig one day. But eventually, I realized that’s not how it works and you just have to audition. So, I quit my job and thus began a vicious cycle of calls, auditions, a few hits and a few misses. Today, as I complete five years in the industry, I feel blessed to have gained exposure across digital sketches, commercials, web series, short films and now, Sony Liv’s ‘Scam 1992’. I feel lucky because I have not only achieved my dream but my mother’s dream as well.”
Anjali was shortlisted by Mukesh Chhabra for a role in a Bollywood film in 2018 but did not get the part. A year later, he was chosen by Mukesh Chhabra to play a role in Hansal Mehta’s web series, Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story. The show is about Harshad Mehta, the man behind India’s biggest financial scam. She was asked to play the role of Jyoti Mehta (Harshad Mehta’s wife), along with Pratik Gandhi, who played the role of Harshad Mehta. The series later became one of the best web series in India and gave an impetus to Anjali’s career.

Anjali is regularly featured in Scoopwhoop and Filtercopy comic sketches. In addition to Scam 1992, she also played the role of a 15-year-old schoolgirl in another web series titled ‘Wrong Number.’
Anjali has done many commercials for various brands like Yamaha, Godrej, Amazon, HDFC, Paytm, Big Bazaar and Clean & Dry.
Anjali has shot and acted in a short film titled ‘O Maa.’ He made this film during the COVID-19 lockdown.

- Anjali decided she wanted to be an actress when she was seven years old, but according to her, she was not confident enough to share this with anyone. In an interview, when he was asked about where he got his interest in acting, he said,
I got it from my mom. He always harbored a dream of going into acting but he couldn’t do much. At that time, many factors such as resources, knowing the right people or just taking risks were challenging affairs. But he always dreamed of this one to watch himself on the screen and among many other things I have to thank him for, this is one of them that I received from him. I was sure that I wanted to be an actor from a very young age and I couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else.”
