Anjana Mumtaz was born on Saturday, January 4, 1941 (age 81 years; in 2022) in Bombay, India. Anjana did not like studies at all, but she still managed to clear her tenth board, which was considered an achievement in the 1960s. He loves movies and that’s why his mother invested in his dance coaching and hired a master teacher named Mangal Master. Later, she also learned classical Kathak Dance from Sir Gopi Krishan.

Career
Anjana Mumtaz is a big fan of Meena Kumari. In 1965, he came to know that his favorite actor was shooting for Pakeezah at Filmistan Studios. An excited Anjana goes to meet Meena Kumari, who greets her fans with a warm smile. He also introduced Anjana to Kamal Sahab who decided to cast her in Shankar Hussain’s film, which was delayed for release. Meanwhile, he was signed for the film Sumbundh with producer S. Mukherjee in which he made his debut as a lead actor in 1969. The film became a huge hit, which marked the beginning of his journey in films. After that, he signed many big films with famous actors including Dharmendra, Mehmood, Sanjeev Kumar, and Joy Mukherjee. After that, he worked in many Hindi, Gujarati, and Marathi films. After giving birth, she stopped working in films for a while, and soon after, she returned to work by taking supporting roles in films.
