Ankur Pathak initially started his career with the YouTube channel ‘Nazar Battu,’ but he later left the channel. He later worked with many other YouTube channels and YouTubers including Ajey Nagar (better known as CarryMinati) and Bhuvan Bam.

In 2018, Pathak appeared as Gagan Tyagi in the series ‘Stags.’ She played the role of Radhe Bhaiya in ZEE5’s ‘Engineering Girls’ in 2021. - In a talk show, Pathak mentioned that after completing class 12, he used to go to the park, every morning and evening, with his friends, where he would joke and entertain everyone. Soon, his humor began to attract a large number of people. Inspired by their response, Pathak started performing street shows with local institutions.
- In the same talk show, Ankur Pathak spoke about his decision to become an entertainer and actor. He recounted a situation when he wanted to attend a friend’s wedding, but his father allowed him only on the condition that he could not return home if he went. Expecting the wedding to last through the night, Pathak agrees but is unexpectedly asked to leave early by his friend due to the late hour and cold weather. With nowhere to go and starving, he spends the night under a tree, entertaining passers-by with his antics to earn money to buy food. According to Ankur, he earned Rs. 826 that night, made him realize that he could sustain himself with his talent and this pushed him to pursue a career in acting.
- According to Ankur, he initially performed in several theater productions for a short period. Later, he started doing stand-up comedy for some friends and also uploaded videos on YouTube on friend’s recommendation, but they didn’t get many views; however, his luck changed when he received an offer to work with ‘Nazar Battu,’ a YouTube channel.
