In an interview with Page SixLevin, who is legally representing Sorokin, shared that the convicted fraudster is developing a reality TV project as part of his plans for the new year.

“It will deal with his art and design, and it will deal with him as an individual and as a talented artist,” the lawyer told the publication.

Although Sorokin’s lawyer, Levin, is hyped about his plan, he admits that it was difficult to find people they could partner with because of the fake German heiress’s previous criminal convictions.

“The collateral consequences of a criminal conviction are truly devastating. Everyone who spoke to him at first thought he was a fraud, so he had an uphill battle,” the Manhattan-based lawyer shared via Page Six. “Every meeting, every time he talks to someone to say, ‘Give me a chance to do this.'”

The legal representative also shared that Sorokin is “really more than the worst thing he’s ever allegedly done,” adding that he’s been a “great client” since he took over from uninhibited attorney Audrey Thomas.

He stated, “He is a very different person. But he was funny, and we spent a lot of time laughing… He saw a lighter side even though he was in a lot of legal trouble.”

Levin also hinted that Sorokin’s appeal of his 2019 convictions for grand larceny, attempted grand larceny, theft of services and five other charges will be covered only slightly in the project.

His ongoing immigration issues, which have put him under house arrest, will also not be in the spotlight.

Instead, “what he stands for” and his “artistic talent” will be at the center of the project as he tries to change people’s perspective on him.

“He really wants everyone to know who he is,” Levin shares about his client’s plans for his loyal fans and outsiders alike. “I think that’s what we’re going to see a lot more of, even with the background of the immigration thing, his criminal appeal and all the other legal issues that he’s dealing with.”

Meanwhile, Levin is doing everything he can to prevent Sorokin from being deported, even as the case is slowed by his former lawyer’s refusal to release his file following his dismissal on an unrelated matter.

The Manhattan-based lawyer is also looking forward to winning Sorokin’s criminal appeal of his 2019 conviction, which jailed him for nearly four years.

“Generally speaking, what we’re going to do in 2023 is we’re going to appeal his criminal conviction, and we’re going to win that, and we’re going to set him free, he said elsewhere. in a statement to Page Six. “As a result, we will ask the immigration court not to deport him because the predicate is the criminal conviction.”

Sorokin is currently living in an East Village apartment after his release from ICE custody in October 2022.
