Anu Aggarwal or Anita Aggarwal is a former Indian actress and model. He rose to fame with his debut film, ‘Aashiqui’ (1990).

He was born in New Delhi and brought up in Chennai. His father Ramesh Prakash Arya is a teacher at Hans Raj College, Delhi. Her mother’s name is Urmila Arya. Anu is not married yet.
Career
In 1987, he started working at IMRB, Kala Ghoda, Bombay. Later, he started working as a VJ. A modeling talent agent spotted her at Churchgate station in Mumbai and offered her a modeling assignment.
Later, he did several modeling projects. In 1988, he debuted as an actor in the Doordarshan serial ‘Isi Bahane.’
In 1989, she appeared in the ‘Face of Schweppes Indian Tonic’ as a model. He came into the limelight with his Bollywood debut film ‘Aashiqui’ in 1990. The film turned out to be a blockbuster.
Later, he appeared in various Bollywood films including Ghazab Tamasha (1992), King Uncle (1993), Khal-Naaikaa (1993), Janam Kundli (1995), and Return of Jewel Thief (1996).
In 1993, he debuted in the Tamil film ‘Thiruda Thiruda.’
In 1994, he appeared as a star supporter and VJ in MTV India’s launch show ‘Oye MTV’ which later became ‘BPL Oye!’ He left Bollywood after his film ‘Return of Jewel Thief’ in 1996.
Life After Bollywood
In 1995, he realized that films were not his forte, so, after completing the shooting of his last film ‘Return of Jewel Thief’ in 1996, he started traveling abroad. In 1997, she started practicing Yoga.
He had a major accident in 1999. He was driving home from a party in Mumbai. Suddenly, his car ran off the road and crashed into a sand dune. He suffered multiple broken bones after the accident. He suffered a skull fracture that resulted in a coma and memory loss. He was in a coma for 29 days. In an interview, he said,
I had a brain bleed and a fractured skull. I have become completely empty; I have no past,” he said. “I started life again, like a child. For me, it was like meeting Anu. I don’t remember much about my film, actually. . . When I look back, I think, ‘Wow, what a wonderful life!’ My life started from the day I woke up half paralyzed, which is when I didn’t even know what paralysis was. I existed outside my body. I had many, so to speak, amazing spiritual experiences during that time. And I saw the other side, where death is final and death, normal… where the angel of death rules.”
He was admitted to Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai. His face was paralyzed and turned to one side after the accident. He slowly recovered and decided to devote his life to practicing Yoga and meditation. He joined a Yoga training center and became a Yoga instructor at the Bihar School of Yoga Munger.
In 2015, he started working as a motivational speaker with TEDx.
In the same year, she published a book titled ‘Anusal Memoir Of A Girl Who Came Back From the Dead’ based on her own life.

- In an interview, he shared the story of his struggling days, he said,
I was new to Mumbai and an unwanted object of attention on the road. From my PG in Juhu, I took a train to the train station to Churchgate. To save money, I used to walk from there to Cuffe Parade to make a phone call not to complain but to reassure my worried mother that I was ok.”
- She never wanted to be an actor, it was director Mahesh Bhatt who encouraged her to act in Aashiqui (1990).
