Simmons’ Instagram Stories Take Viewers on a Journey to NYC With Her
In a series of Instagram stories, the 20-year-old model took her followers with her on a trip from school to New York City, starting with almost missing the train at 5:59 a.m.
Then once settled in for the long journey to the City, he opened a forum for questions from his fans and followers by posting, “Ask me anything! (On a long train journey). The questions started pouring in.

When asked who she’s walking for during fashion week, the model replied, “I’m taking it easy this year because I have some really important classes to focus on so I can GET THAT DEGREE. But I might have some special projects that I get. don’t miss.”
He was also asked, “What are you majoring in? & are you going to another school?” to which he replied, “Classics and Political Science…I’m considering Oxford, Columbia (would be better for modeling!) or Yale.” He was also asked about wearing braces.

Simmons Handles the Dilemmas He Faces in Motion
Then things get real for Simmons when he realizes he left his toiletry bag at school.
“Y’all are gonna think I’m kidding but I realized I forgot all my toiletries, like I forgot my whole bag of toiletries. I’m going to a casting now. I found this mascara in my backpack. That’s all I have. No care skin, no sunscreen, no hair care. So when casting directors say they want a natural look, come with no makeup, I hope they mean it.”

Defends Her Choice To Pursue Modelling
Simmons has dealt with more than her share of criticism about pursuing her modeling career while attending Harvard. He publicly defended his choice more than once on social media.
When a comment on a TikTok video asked why someone who is “spoken and clearly educated” would choose modelling, she calmly explained that it’s time to normalize liking things and not always having to do things you “wear right away”.

“I really want us to move toward a future where young women aren’t asked this question. Like, you’re not asked, ‘Why are you following your more creative interests even though you’re smart? Like I want to change the idea that you can’t be smart and beautiful, or you can’t be smart and enjoy your looks or enjoy a creative beauty fashion-based career,” she explains in the video. “You can be two kinds of people in one person.”
