He also posted a Story that read, “Maybe because it’s harvard but certain professors will hear “modeling” and laugh in your face. It’s always stressful explaining why you need an absence for work. But some won’t discuss it if you’re willing to zoom in, write extra papers, hand in homework early, whatever. Some won’t try to meet you halfway.”

Simmons Recently Defended Her Decision To Model While In College
The model recently publicly defended her choice to pursue modeling while going to college due to a comment on one of her TikTok videos asking why someone “articulate and clearly educated” would choose modeling. “Well, because I like it, and I think we should normalize liking something. You don’t have to do what you’re good at right away,” he said.
She continues her video by explaining that she wants women to know that they don’t have to follow any particular path and that they should do what they love to do. “I really want us to move toward a future where young women aren’t asked this question. Like, you’re not asked, ‘Why are you following your more creative interests even though you’re smart? Like I want to change the idea that you can’t be smart and beautiful, or you can’t be smart and enjoy your looks or enjoy a creative beauty fashion-based career,” she explained. “You can be two kinds of people in one person.”

Simmons Will Walk the Runway for Fashion Week 2022
The model made her runway debut last year for Pyer Moss Paris Couture. She has also modeled for her family’s Baby Phat and Just Fab lines. Simmons posted several pictures of her getting ready for this year’s New York Fashion Week on her Instagram page. The Harvard University class of 2023 student just had his last first day of school, which he commemorated in an Instagram Story. In March 2019, her mother, Kimora Lee Simmons, announced on Instagram that her daughter had been accepted to Harvard University at the age of 16. “Yaayyyyy @aokilesimmons!!
